The Inventions

Leonardo Da Vinci was a clever man who is responsible for coming up with the idea of over 300 pieces. Some of these are truly amazing, especially for his time where there were no electrical items such as TVs, radios, and even lights.


Leonardo Da Vinci often missed out information or wrote misleading information for added security so his ideas were no stolen, he also often wrote in mirror image for added security.


Some of his amazing inventions include:

• Mehanical Robot

       A robot made by Leonardo da Vinci

Leonardo made a mechanical robot that was capable of walking, lifting its arms, and open and close its jaw. Its jaw was also anatomically correct.

• Glider

Leonardo tried to create a glider that was able to achieve flight. It was made with resin cotton and the frame was made with bamboo shoots.

• Tank

Leonardo had invented a military tank that could be used to break enemy lines in combat. The shell was similar like a turtles, to reflect projectiles. In his Da Vinci's drawings, the gears are drawn backwards which makes the tank unable to work. This misleading information was written by Da Vinci for added protection that his ideas were not stolen. The tank was designed to be driven by four men inside the tank pushing gears with big force, which in turn moved the wheels forward.
